19:00 - 20:20 INTERNATIONAL GUEST NikitanadaECSTATIC DANCE
For Nikitananda, dance is medicine. She channels ecstatic dance journeys straight from her heart, weaving ancient mantra, medicine music, and tribal rhythms. Her sets invites authentic expression with no judgement and opening our potential to experience joy, aliveness, and ecstasy as a natural state.
Born from a deep love of movement, Nikitananda channels dance journeys straight from her heart, weaving tribal rhythms, mantra & medicine music into embodied experiences that move body and spirit as one. A sound alchemist, she carries the ancient wisdom of her ancestry into every set. Music runs in her blood, inspired by her father, a pioneer in the Indian music scene in the 80s. Rooted in this upbringing, with parents born in East Africa and grandparents from India, she channels a deep and living connection to her heritage into every journey she creates. Her ecstatic and ceremonial sound journeys have moved dancers across New York and Costa Rica, and found a home in Cyprus, including an unforgettable ecstatic dance gathering at Larnaca Nautical Club with 80 dancers. Dance is medicine, inviting authentic expression with no judgement, and opening our potential to experience joy, aliveness and ecstasy as a natural state.
