We are honored to welcome back Guru Yogacharya P. Unniraman to the upcoming Mind Body Spirit (MBS) Wellbeing Festival on November 16th & 17th, 2024, at St. Raphael Resort & Marina in Limassol. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of #MBSCyprus and the High Commission of India in Cyprus, Yogacharya’s return marks a meaningful continuation of his work here, which has touched and transformed countless lives across Cyprus over the years.
Who is Yogacharya P. Unniraman?
Yogacharya P. Unniraman, a revered Yoga Guru and Spiritual Teacher, hails from Cherukulam village in Kerala, India, and is the visionary behind the Patanjali Yoga Research Centre & Charitable Trust. His spiritual journey began at the Bihar School of Yoga, where he became a devoted disciple of H.H. Swami Satyananda Saraswathi, specializing in Kriya Yoga. As a mentor and guide, Yogacharya’s expertise spans yoga and naturopathy, which he has shared with students at Kottakkal and Ollur Ayurveda Medical Colleges in Kerala. His influence extends globally, having led international yoga seminars and specialized camps for people with diabetes, asthma, hypertension, and heart-related conditions.
In Kerala, the Patanjali Yoga Research Centre has played a pivotal role under his leadership, offering health-focused yoga classes through partnerships like the Health Awareness Program organized with the World Diabetic Foundation, Denmark, and Kulanada Medical Trust Hospital. Through these initiatives, Yogacharya has helped countless individuals manage and improve their health through yoga and holistic practices.
Yogacharya’s Impact in Cyprus
Since 2010, Yogacharya’s presence in Cyprus has had a profound impact on the local yoga community. Living and teaching at FBME Bank, he introduced yoga and meditation classes specifically for employees, their families, and friends. This initiative fostered a strong sense of well-being and connection among participants, reinforcing yoga’s value as a way of life rather than just a physical practice. Meeting Yogacharya in 2013 transformed my personal journey as well, deepening my understanding of yoga as a practice that integrates the body, mind, and spirit. I am endlessly grateful for his wisdom and dedication, which he generously shares with all of us here.
Experience Authentic Yoga & Movement Meditation at the MBS Wellbeing Festival
At this year’s festival, Yogacharya will be leading a special Hatha yoga and meditation class on Sunday, November 17th, from 3:00 pm to 4:20 pm and a Movement Meditation class on Saturday, November 16th, from 4:00 pm to 4:50 pm.
This is a unique opportunity for participants to experience yoga guided by a true master, feeling firsthand the mental and physical benefits of authentic yogic practices. Hatha yoga, with its focus on balance, breath, and alignment, provides a grounding experience, especially when accompanied by meditation led by a teacher of Yogacharya’s depth.
We encourage everyone attending the session to wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat, and come with an open mind. Whether you’re new to yoga or have practiced for years, this session promises to be a revitalizing experience, allowing you to connect deeply with your inner self.
